42" plasma

I got a great 42" plasma last year (Panny ST30).
Now someone I know wants the same or similar TV, but not bigger.
The problem is it seems 50" is the new minimum plasma!
Anyone know why this happened or how to find any that may still be on sale? I looked around and they seem to be nonexistent.
Thanks,
Matt
edit: OK, looks like the Panny UT50 was already discontinued. Only a few around and they are not high-end at all.

It looks like there are still
It looks like there are still new 42" Panasonic Viera plasmas available on Amazon, but they seem rather pricey at around $900: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00752R9PK/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1340344820&sr=1-1&keywords=panasonic+plasma+42
Why 42"? A very small apartment will still accommodate a 50" screen, and most people sit much too far away from their sets, anyway.
Thanks for the help/opinions.

It is for a walk-in closet/bathroom/kitchen. No! Not really.
But to someone who only has a 20" TV, a 42" would seem like an elephant. 50" is totally out of the question.
I had a 27" when I got this last year and it sometimes seemed huge ...at first.
So you think I should get a 50ST50 and sell the 42?
They just got a Samsung UN40EH6000 and I'll help set it up this weekend. The Amazon reviews are just as good although the pro reviews are mixed. (best LED for the price vs. disapointing black levels)
By the way, your link sent me to an Amazon page with this TV (it is an LED).

Sorry. I was looking at a number of sites and posted the wrong link. Here's Panasonic's own site, where they list a 42" plasma for about $400: http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/viera-televisions-viera-plasma-hdtvs
Deep Black, would you
Deep Black, would you consider a Samsung plasma? I purchased a 43" about 5 months ago and am more than pleased with the image quality and price. I'm pretty sure Samsung still sells 43" plasmas.
Too late! I already set up
Too late! I already set up the Samsung LED. It looks very good.
