"Game of Thrones"

I think I watched every episode of "Game of Thrones" last season, and I've started watching it this season, too. But, while I enjoy it, am I the only viewer who hasn't much of a clue what's going on? I mean, I know there are all these families/countries warring against one another, but so many characters keep popping up, I can't keep track. I dunno.

I haven't started yet. Can't seem to find the time with Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Walking Dead on my watch list.

You are right, John. I read the first book and watched the show at the same time. While I was excited to finish the book, and ended up liking the first season, I can't say the same for the 2nd book. I have hard time in understanding what is going on and how the story will eventually end. Maybe some day I will finish the book, but at this point, I am not excited anymore.

Following HBO's "Game of Thrones" on Sunday nights is Showtime's "The Borgias," a better series in my opinion (although neither is in the league of "Boardwalk Empire"). Well, "Thrones" is based on a popular book series ("A Song of Ice and Fire"), so they're just following what they're given. It is a fantasy, after all; thus, the introduction of dragons, an evil and deadly spirit, and now zombies. The story already hinted there were monsters north of the Wall (that's why there's always been a Wall since forever and a Night Watch to protect the South), so why not zombies. :)
