Happy New Year to all.  We'll start off the year with with few neighbors, a nice loud sci-fi movie and a mountain of Chinese food.

ps - What's a Canadian?  cheeky  Just kidding.

It won't be as loud as I thought.  I think we'll play TO: Ellipitical Orbit and Symbiotic Planet and then Contagion after.  I'm not a big fan of anime but the two shorts in TO are really, really good and no one else has seen them except me.  Last year we watched Avatar on New Year's Eve.  Tomorrow I'll probably slog through a few more episodes of Dr.Who Season 6.

Well, we have John Carter in March and Promethius in June.  Long range, Elysium sometime in 2013.  And then, of course, you have a few listed on MMet's Upcoming Releases.   The John Carter movie really intrests me.  When I was in Junior High in the late 50's I discovered several original already-old John Carter pulp novels in the attic of the ancient farmhouse house my parents had just bought. Being a major nerd in those days, I read through them in record time and have been fascinated with the series ever since. Most movie adaptations have been awful (especially the minimalist  Sci-Fi Channel attempt) so I am really looking forward to this one.  Unfortunately both the book and the house are now long gone.
