Produced by DisneyToon Studios and released as a direct-to-video offering, “Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers” just doesn’t have the Disney magic. The animation has a Saturday morning look to it, with an overall brighter, yellower cast, and the film feels like a cartoon short that’s been put on the rack and stretched until it qualified as a “full-length feature.”

Of course, the star of “Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace and Music 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Revisited” is the music. And that’s the way it should be if you really think about it.

“Hercules” may be second-tier Disney, but it’s TOP second tier, not far behind the studio’s best animated work, and this Blu-ray release with its improved picture quality really helps you to appreciate that.
