Less than a month after it was introduced BD+ is cracked according to Slysoft. "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" was among the first titles to use the new copy protection scheme. It was released on October 4th and caused playback issues on some blu-ray players. It was speculated that BD+ was the cause for the problems. This was later corrected via firmware upgrades.

SlySoft boss, Giancarlo Bettini says he wonders "When people will undertsand that more restrictions, pressures and protection measures that restrict the functionality of a thing cause fewer sales not more."

He hopes to have the software that removes BD+ from Blu-ray discs commercially ready before years end.
