MIAMI, FL — Now celebrating their 25th Anniversary, leading independent home entertainment studio MTI Home Video is set to release the recent feature film FLYING BY on DVD July 7, 2009. Originally broadcast on Lifetime TV (Saturday May 23).

FLYING BY stars Billy Ray Cyrus (Hannah Montana), Heather Locklear (Melrose Place), Olesya Rulin (High School Musical 1, 2 & 3), David Zayas (Dexter, Oz), Academy Award® Winner Patricia Neal (Breakfast at Tiffany's), Mo Collins (MADtv), Robert Gossett (The Closer), and Judith Hoag (Big Love).

FLYING BY is the story of a businessman who risks his marriage, family and fortune to pursue his dream of being in a rock band (detailed synopsis further below). The film was written, directed and produced by Jim Amatulli (Artworks, starring Virginia Madsen), with Eric Abrahamson (Undercover Angel) and Jonathan McHugh (Crossroads) also producing.

Rated PG-13 for some language

Film Synopsis:
On the road of life... it's about the music.
Successful real estate developer, George Barron (Billy Ray Cyrus) attends his 25th high school reunion without his wife, Pamela (Heather Locklear). He quickly greets the adolescent life he once had when he finds his old teenage band playing on stage. They pull him on stage and it feels like he never stopped playing with them. Later that evening they convince him to come to a rehearsal. When the band's first performance proves successful, it leads to a last minute booking to open for a reunion tour.

His decision to play brings some personal satisfaction, but Pamela is not enthusiastic and the pressures of his business and marriage continue to mount. His Mother (Patricia Neal), in a retirement home, encourages him to enjoy life. Faced with a tough decision, where dreams collide with life, he must consider the effects on his marriage, his daughter (Olesya Rulin) and his business.
