EMA: Blu-ray movie sales to surpass DVD in 2012

EMA says in a new report that Blu-ray sales will surpass DVD in 2012 and that it will generate revenue of $9.5 billion.

EMA says in a new report that Blu-ray sales will surpass DVD in 2012 and that it will generate revenue of $9.5 billion.

The report comes as EMA's 27th annual Home Media Expo starts today, June 24th.

Bo Andersen, president of EMA, also believes that a new campaign called "Got Blu?" is very important to the success. The campaign will educate consumers in the benefits of Blu-ray.
