"Chasing Ice" will have its theatrical release in New York City on November 9 and a limited release elsewhere on November 16.
The film follows James Balog, an award-winning National Geographic photographer, on his obsessive journey to capture rapidly-eroding glaciers in the Arctic. Balog is the director and founder of the Extreme Ice Survey (EIS), a long-term photography project that uses a series of sophisticated time-lapse cameras to capture the changing landscapes caused by global climate change.
