HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE gets a loaded 22-Disc set
The animated "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" ran from 1983-85 with a total of 130 episodes, chronicling the exploits of the most powerful man in the universe, He-Man, as he confronts Skeletor and the forces of evil, all while trying to protect the secrets of Castle Grayskull. Then came the short-lived reboots aimed at reviving interest in the He-Man and Castle Grayskull toy line: "The New Adventures of He-Man" (1990, 65 episodes) and "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" (2002, 39 episodes). Not all of the episodes are included in this collection.
All 130 episodes from the original series are here, as are all 39 episodes from the 2002 reboot. But only the "top 20 fan favorite episodes" from "The New Adventures of He-Man" are included, for a total of 189 episodes on 22 discs.

(September 18, 2012)—To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Masters of the Universe brand, Mill Creek Entertainment announces the release of the 30th Anniversary Commemorative Collection of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" on DVD. This epic 22-DVD set chronicles all three Masters of the Universe series, and also includes a bonus DVD containing new and unreleased documentary features, a bonus audio CD with the classic Filmation series soundtrack, an exclusive MOTUC sword accessory and an extensive episode guide booklet all contained in a deluxe display-worthy package complete with a sculpted Castle Grayskull facade.
First launched as a toy line by Mattel in 1982, the "Masters of the Universe" television series debuted one year later in 1983 and introduced the iconic phrase, “By the power of Grayskull...I have the power!” to fans nationwide incorporating high fantasy with a science fiction twist.
