Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures comes to DVD for the first time

Jack Hanna retired as director of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in 1993 after serving in that capacity for 15 years. And did he take up golf in Florida? Nope. He became the host of the syndicated TV show "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures," which ran until 2008. And if you never saw the show, you probably saw him in one of his many appearances bringing live, wild animals onto "The Tonight Show."
Surprisingly, none of the Jack Hanna episodes have made it to DVD . . . until now. Questar just announced that they're releasing a remastered six-disc "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures: Africa" set which features episodes shot on the Dark Continent.

The shows on this color corrected and remastered six-disc DVD set mark the first time Jack Hanna's shows have ever been available on DVD. With a street date of April 20, the 680-minute collection has a suggested retail price of $49.99.
"Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures" was produced from 1993-2008, and is still running in syndication in markets throughout the USA. Every episode of the widely-beloved educational and nature program is hosted by the inimitable Hanna, and features him in exotic locales around the world. Some of his most exciting and interesting adventures are the ones filmed in Africa. The release of this DVD set collects all of Jack's best Africa shows.
