The Science of Sleep on DVD

Warner Home Video will release Michel Gondry's "The Science of Sleep" on DVD ($27.95) this February 6th. This is the latest film from ingenious writer/director Michel Gondry.

Extras will include: a "Commentary by writer/director Michel Gondry and Stars," "The Making of The Science of Sleep," a "Featurette on Lauri Faggioni, Creator of Animals and Accessories," the "Linda Serbu 'Rescue Me' Music Video," and more.

When a man develops a technique to control his dreams, the characters in the dream hold him hostage because they're afraid if he wakes up, he won't come back to the dream and they won't exist anymore.

The Science of Sleep, a playful romantic fantasy set inside the topsy-turvy brain of Stephane Miroux (Gael Garcia Bernal) an eccentric young man whose dreams constantly invade his waking life. Stephane pines for next-door neighbor, Stephanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg), but she becomes confused by his childishness and shaky connection to reality. Unable to find the secret to Stephanie's heart while awake, Stephane searches for the answer in his dreams.
