Sony recently cut the price of it's Playstation 3 gaming console from $599 to $499.
The company now confirms that the discounted 60GB model is no longer in production. Meaning that they will sell out the remaining stock at the new $499 price.
This August the company will introduce their new 80GB model that includes a game and retail at $599. The company says that they favor a one model plan and that the 80GB model will eventually become the standard.
However, they reassure that they should have plenty $499 60GB models in stock for the months to come.
