Spielberg & Co. talk about LINCOLN
The Steven Spielberg "Lincoln" revelations continue with the director, his composer, and his stars talking about the film and its authenticity and inner struggles. It turns out that "getting it right" meant putting veteran actress Sally Field through one heck of a fight, and nailing down the details to such a degree that Spielberg even got permission to record the sound of Lincoln's actual watch ticking, so they could replicate it for the movie. Below are a few interesting pieces on the film:
"The making of 'Lincoln' with actor Daniel Day-Lewis, composer John Williams, and director Steven Spielberg" (19-minute video article-interview, 60 Minutes Overtime)
"Sally Field to Steven Spielberg: 'I won't let you walk away from me' (Print interview-article from Meriah Doty, Movie Talk)
"Steven Pielberg, Daniel Day-Lewis and Tony Kushner on the Terrifying Process of Making Lincoln" (Article with 6-minute interview clip, Time Entertainment)
