SPY KIDS films are headed for Blu-ray

In their most recent "new to preorder" announcement, Amazon listed an August 2, 2011 street date for "Spy Kids," "Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams," and "Spy Kids 3: Game Over."

The popular family action films, directed by Robert Rodriquez, gave us live-action "Incredibles" where the kids, discovering their parents are really spies, get into the act themselves. The "Spy Kids" films starred Alex Vega, Daryl Sabara, Carla Gugino, Antonio Banderas, and Danny Trejo.

So dust off those McDonald's Happy Meal "Spy Kids" toys and get ready for the action to start all over again in HD.

The release is timed to coincide with "Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World," which premieres in theaters on August 19, 2011.
