STEP UP: REVOLUTION dances its way to DVD and Blu-ray Nov. 27
Love and dance take center stage in Step Up Revolution, the latest film in the wildly popular Step Up franchise, arriving on 3-D Blu-ray (includes 3-D and standard version of the film plus Digital Copy plus UV), DVD (includes Digital Copy plus UV), Digital Download, On Demand and Pay-Per-View this November from Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE company. Featuring the hottest hip-hop soundtrack and jaw-dropping dance moves, Step Up Revolution stars up-and-coming performers, dancer Kathryn McCormick (TV's "So You Think You Can Dance") and MMA fighter and model Ryan Guzman making his feature film debut.
Touching upon themes of love, injustice and hope, the film, set in Miami, follows two dancers leading a crew in cutting-edge dance performances that ultimately rally the locals to protest against planned commercial development that would wipe out their homes and businesses. The fourth installment in the fan-favorite film franchise Step Up, Step Up Revolution is directed by Scott Speer, written by Amanda Brody and based on characters created by Duane Adler, and produced by Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot, Patrick Wachsberger and Erik Feig.
Just in time for the gift giving season, the Step Up Revolution 3-D Blu-ray Disc and DVD contains more than two hours of special features including deleted scenes, music videos from J. Lo and Timbaland, multiple featurettes and commentary with the director, choreographer and several cast members. The Step Up Revolution 3-D Blu-ray Disc and DVD will be available November 27 for the suggested retail price of $39.99 and $29.95, respectively.
STEP UP REVOLUTION SYNOPSIS
Emily (McCormick) arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer and soon falls in love with Sean (Guzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs, called "The Mob." When a wealthy businessman threatens to develop The Mob's historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people, Emily must band together with Sean and The Mob to turn their performance art into protest art, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause.
