Speculation began after our article yesterday regarding Warner's re-stock policy on HD DVD.
Would Warner Bros. release titles on HD DVD after May 31st? The date the company announced as being the line in the sand after which they will release in Blu-ray only.
The comment that had people speculating was "There may be isolated instances that an HD DVD title will be created, but as a general rule our titles will be out in SD and BD only after May 31" made by Ronnee Sass, Vice President - Publicity & Promotion at Warner Bros.
So, we went back and asked again to make sure we understood it correctly. "Does this mean that it is possible Warner will release HD DVD titles after May 31st in isolated instances?"
The answer was short and to the point from Ronnee Sass "It is not forseen, but not impossible."
It may look like Warner Bros. is keeping an open mind. No doubt they ARE going Blu-ray ONLY but will consider a HD DVD release should the demand and demographic be right.
