The quest for the Key of the Twilight continues as the appearance of undefeatable monsters and mythic heroes shakes the online Game World. As the relationship between Tsukasa and Subaru grows closer, he takes her to the hidden forest of the sleeping girl--and is severely punished. The voice that once promised to accompany Tsubasa abandons him, taking the sleeping Aura and the Puss-in-Boots-like Macha to a weird, aqueous realm. While the odious Sora and BT connive, Crim joins Bear and Mimiru in the search for clues about the mysterious Key. With the help of the seeress Helba, they discover that the aged failure of the upside-down dungeon is a manifestation of Harald Hoerwick, the creator of the prototype game world.
