"Lay the Favorite" had the opportunity to be an enthralling exposé of the gambling world. Think "Moneyball" in Sin City. Instead, the movie puts it all on the line until the dice finally come up snake eyes.

THE THIEVES – Blu-ray review

FAREWELL, MY QUEEN - DVD review
Though it's perhaps guilty of emboldening historical rumor into a full-fledged plot element, the French-language feature “Farewell, My Queen” successfully mines a smart, fresh experience out of familiar ground, with a bright and fervent performance by Diane Kruger as Marie Antoinette.
