There’s an idea about online violence buried in the glop here, but ”Smiley” is a forgettable horror-thriller that wastes that idea on generic direction, cheap scares, and a ludicrous twist ending.

Truly disappointing, the ambitious “A Liar’s Autobiography” falls flat in almost every way, despite some vivid animated sequences and occasional insight. Its subject deserves better.

“Babar: The Movie” feels like a film in search of an audience. Youngsters who should be the primary viewers may find the rhino-elephant battles too frightening or too repetitive. And once you get past a certain age, you’re too old for this simple narrative of a little elephant king . . .

I didn’t dislike the music this film is known for all that much. I just disliked the film itself.

It's an addictive cartoon backed by tremendous wit and intelligence. There is nothing deep about it; however, it is a wonderfully entertaining diversion.
